true colors Business travelers can now print out a high-quality color job on the run, thanks to a new partnership between printer manufacturer Epson and Wayport's Laptop Lane airport business centers. The centers at Atlanta Hartsfield, O'Hare, LaGuardia, DFW, Seattle-Tacoma, Salt Lake City, Cincinnati, Oakland and Philadelphia are now equipped with Epson high-quality color printing/copying devices. Laptop Lane customers can upload or e-mail documents to PrintMe.com and have them printed out at the Laptop Lane airport center of their choice. For security, documents are assigned private ID numbers that must be input at the printing station.

in an instant United Airlines has enhanced its EasyUpdate passenger flight notification service so that it now supports Microsoft.NET Alert. That means all notices of United flight delays, schedule changes, cancellations or seat upgrade status can now be sent via instant messaging to the personal computers or mobile devices of registered users. The service could previously be delivered by e-mail, fax, phone or pager. Mileage Plus members can sign up for the EasyUpdate feature at www.united.com/easyupdate.

room searches Delta Air Lines (www.delta.com) has beefed up its Web site's hotel booking capability by adding the Expedia lodging database of 50,000 properties—10,000 of them with special rates. The expansion supplements delta.com's existing hotel booking partner, PlacesToStay.com...Hotel discounter Quikbook (www.quikbook.com) now gives users 48 hours instead of the previous 24 to try to find a price better than Quikbook's elsewhere on the Web. If you do, Quikbook will match it.
