The new site, www.flatseats.com, provides news on who's doing what and discussion of "flat seat" issues. It even solicits traveler reviews of the seat-beds they have used themselves.
delta does meetings Delta Air Lines' Web site (www.delta.com) has been enhanced through the addition of negotiated fares and zone fares for domestic meetings trips, which can now be booked online by employees of participating companies. "Select organizations with a negotiated meeting agreement can access the Delta Meeting Network negotiated and zone fares online using the Exclusive Discount Program (EDP) at Delta.com via a secure link from the intranet," the airline said. Or they can still book through a company travel agent or Delta's meeting service center (800-241-6760).
hotel finder Travelocity (www.travelocity.com) has overhauled its hotel search function, so that users can now fine-tune their searches to focus on price, hotel amenities or quality ratings. "The upgraded hotel shopping path also features a unique information grid with traveler reviews, hotel descriptions and photos, amenities and world-renowned AAA diamond ratings," a spokesperson said. "In addition, shoppers can now sort hotels by price, rating, name and distance from a certain geographical location. Users will also find a marked improvement in search response times."
beyond bids Priceline (www.priceline.com) has started up an alternate air fare searching service that lets users select flight times and airlines and still get low fares. Or they can still submit a bid if they are willing to take the airline and departure times selected for them by Priceline. "Our exclusive Name Your Own Price service will continue to deliver deep savings for the flexible travelers," said CEO Jeffrey Boyd. "But for those who prefer specific carriers or itineraries, we also offer a broad choice of airlines, flight times and low fares for domestic and international travel."
